This quote from Maya Angelou is so powerful. In a world where distraction surrounds us in every area of life, it is often hard to be fully present. However, it is only in being present that we can make real and lasting connections.

In this season of Thanksgiving, we may remember to be thankful and present with those we love.

  1. It’s amazing that our presence has to be so intentional in a world, like you say, full of distractions. But when I am successful it makes all the difference in the quality of time spent with people and the connection I feel from the encounter. Great reminder as we head into the holidays Leigh. I’m going to try and stay focused this year! Hugs, C

    1. Oh Cheryl, I completely agree with the difference it makes when we are truly present. As you said, the connection is totally different when we are truly present. Like you, I am going to work on this especially during the holidays where tasks often take over my thinking! Here’s to “gettin r done” and still connecting! Best Wishes! Leigh
