Well friends, it’s been a while since I have written a post. Some of you may have noticed that I have not been interacting on my blog. The reason is that I have reentered the working world and honestly, time has been hard to come by.

Back To Work

As a “task oriented” person, I have desired to return to the working world for quite some time. However, the right doors simply haven’t opened. That all changed in October. The “stay at home mom” season came to an end.

I am working 4 days a week and Robby has been a terrific help when he works from home, but adjusting to the new routine has definitely been hard. Poor Silent Charlie doesn’t know quite what to think, he misses his momma!

Best Of Intentions

Of course, I intended to continue consistently writing for my blog and interacting with followers and those I follow. My intentions were good, but I quickly found that I simply did not have enough time to keep my creative juices flowing late in the evening.

In fact, I was doing good just to keep the laundry done and some food in the fridge. While I truly enjoy working and know it is the right thing for me, I’m not as young as I used to be. In my younger days, I could get myself and my kids ready and a load of laundry in the wash all before heading out to work. Then pick them up, cook dinner, put up the laundry, give baths and still have time to read in the evening.

Clearly my energy level has changed!!!!!!

Change and Sacrifice

Realizing that I couldn’t keep the pace, I began praying and thinking hard about what needed to change. It’s no secret that change (good and bad) often comes with sacrifice. I spent weeks mulling over what to do and finally landed on the answer. I would have to give up my blog.

I felt sad and disappointed. I’ve spent 3 years sowing into this blog. Three years interacting with wonderful people in this space that was solely mine. Yes, it hurt my heart, but I knew it was the sacrifice I must make.

The Ending Of A Season

The day I’ve dreaded is here. This will be my last post. My Wednesday “wisdom” posts will continue through December and then I will officially close my blog.

I want to thank all of you who have followed me, taken the time to read my posts, “liked” my posts and commented on them. You are the ones who encouraged me to keep at it, to learn and write better posts.

I have enjoyed reading your blogs as well and will truly miss the interactions, the laughs and things learned from each of you. Words cannot express how much I appreciate the relationships developed on this platform!

As my season comes to an end, I want to wish God’s riches blessings on you all. So, for now, take care and be well!
